Pick up a seasonal Kids’ Activity Sheet at reception and turn your garden walk into a fun and educational adventure – with puzzles, scavenger hunts and fascinating facts about the gardens and wildlife.
Don’t forget to find the Dinosaur Tree, greet our famously friendly robins, and keep your eyes peeled for native wildlife along the way.
Add to the Adventure – Waterford Greenway & Suir Valley Railway
Mount Congreve is directly connected to the Waterford Greenway, one of Ireland’s most scenic walking and cycling routes. Perfect for bikes, scooters or a family stroll, the Greenway is an easy, traffic-free way to explore the local landscape. Adult bikes are provided as complimentary – bring your own kids bikes or hire locally.
Just next door is the Waterford Suir Valley Railway – a narrow-gauge heritage train that winds its way along the river with views of the countryside and wildlife.
Family-Friendly Stays
Our Family Forest Cabins – including Fern, Maple and Beech – offer the perfect blend of comfort and adventure. Each cabin features a double bed, bunk room (suitable for u 16yr only), open-plan living space, fully equipped small kitchenette, and private outdoor terrace.

Highchairs and travel cots are available on request and bed-guard with advance notice.
