We advise you to check weather conditions before travelling. Mount Congreve Gardens is open all bank holidays with the exception of Christmas Day, St. Stephen’s Day, and New Year’s Day. There will be an annual closure each January.

Wear comfortable walking shoes.
Upon arrival at Mount Congreve, please follow the signs to the carpark.
Do not leave any valuables in your car.
Blue badge parking is available at Mount Congreve House.
For those with mobility issues, a drop-off facility is available at Mount Congreve House.
The Stables Café & Shop are accessible without the purchase of a garden ticket.
Pets are welcome in the Wetlands only.
Registered Guide Dogs are permitted in the gardens.
Picnics are not permitted on the grounds.
Greenway visitors must disembark their bikes & store them in the bike depot before entry to the gardens.
Mount Congreve Gardens are not liable for loss or damage to property.

Membership

Families and Individuals can purchase their Membership Pass now. Members can enjoy visiting the Gardens as many times per year as is desired during normal opening hours. Meander through 70 acres of stunning woodland gardens along 16km of winding pathways, explore the 4 acre walled garden, discover hidden follies and have fun in the children’s play areas.
Accessibility
We hope that everyone who visits Mount Congreve Gardens enjoys their visit. Fragrant Walk - Accessible Route (20 minutes)
Accessible to all our visitors, enjoy year-round, ever-changing fragrances as you journey through varied plant collections and glimpse the woodland garden to the west and the walled garden to the east.
Staff support
There are always staff working in the visitor attraction areas; we are easy to spot, and we are all happy to offer you assistance.
Wheelchairs
We welcome all types of wheelchairs and mobility vehicles excluding electric scooters/bicycles. Please note that path materials may have some irregular surfaces.
Car Parking
There is a blue badge car parking area at the Main House (go past the sign for the main car park and continue up the avenue). This is signposted with a wheelchair icon. These spaces are allocated for visitors with mobility and access needs.
Drop-off points
There is no marked drop-off area but there is plenty of space in the parking area for drop off by taxi or car.
Interior Access
To access the café & shop for wheelchair users, please follow the delineated path. The main entrance to the Visitor Centre is fully accessible.
Accessible Toilets
We have wheelchair-accessible toilets in the Visitor Centre only. These are clearly signposted.
Assistance Dogs
Some visitors may require the support of an assistance dog and we are happy to admit registered trained assistance dogs. Comfort/therapy dogs are not permitted.
The Gardens
The natural gradients across the site present some physical challenges with slopes.
Medical assistance
Should you require medical assistance, please alert a staff member and in an emergency call 112.
Sight
The gardens are enclosed by beautiful trees and woodlands and filled with the visual delights of our rare plant collections as well as unique follies. Don’t forget to look up!
Sound
Listen to the water fountains or sit and tune into the songs of the many native birds who are regular visitors to the gardens.
Scent
The scent throughout the Fragrant Walk fills the air almost all year but especially in winter and early spring. All year round the garden is full of plants and flowers with beautiful (and not so beautiful!) fragrances.
Taste
Enjoy the taste of fresh, local produce in the Stables Café or for a full sensory delight, book a private tour with our Garden Curator.
