Whitfield Lodge

Whitfield Lodge is a short 5-minute drive from Mount Congreve Gardens. Although it is not located on the grounds of Mount Congreve you still have full access to all resident amenities.

Check-in begins at 3:00pm

A member of the team will be available to welcome you between 3:00pm – 5:00pm. While we strongly advise you to arrive during these hours for the best possible check-in experience, we understand the best-laid plans can go awry. If you know that you will be arriving late, please kindly inform us in advance so that we can provide you with the self-check-in instructions.

• 1. What are the dining options available for residents?

  Residents have access to:

  • Stables Café – Open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (last orders at 4:30 PM).
  • Breakfast – Served in the Stables Café from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM. View Breakfast Menu here
  • Takeaway Supper Menu – Available for pre-order by 3:00 PM, with collection by 4:45 PM. View the Residents Menu here.

  2. What type of food is served at the Stables Café?

  The Stables Café offers a variety of breakfast, lunch, and snack options, featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Guests can enjoy hot dishes, baked goods, and beverages throughout the day.

  3. Are there meal options for children?

  Yes, the Stables Café provides child-friendly meal options, including:

  • Breakfast options such as pancakes, scrambled eggs, and porridge.
  • Lunch and supper choices like sandwiches, pasta, and kid-sized portions of main meals.
  • Healthy snacks and drinks suitable for younger guests.

  4. Is there a takeaway option for evening meals?

  Yes, a Takeaway Supper Menu is available, including child-friendly meals. Orders must be placed by 3:00 PM, and meals can be collected by 4:45 PM.

  5. Can I pre-book a table at the Stables Café?

  The Stables Café operates on a walk-in basis, so reservations are not required.

  6. Are dietary requirements catered for?

  Yes, the café offers vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options. Please inform the staff of any dietary needs when ordering.

  7. Is room service available for residents?

  At this time, room service is not available, but residents are welcome to order from the Takeaway Supper Menu and collect their meals by 4:45 PM.

  8. Where can I find the Residents Menu?

  The Residents Menu, including family options, can be viewed here.

Can I bring my dogs?
Up to two dogs are allowed in Whitfield Gate Lodge.

Can I bring my dogs into the formal gardens?
Dogs are not permitted in the formal gardens. However, they are welcome on the wetlands walk and the Waterford Greenway.

• Stables Café: Open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM for breakfast, lunch, snacks, or takeaways. Evening meals can be pre-ordered.
• FOXFORD Store: Open daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM with nature-inspired gifts and Irish homeware.
• Welcome Desk: Located in Mount Congreve House, open daily from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM for queries and garden access during public hours.

• Breakfast: Served daily in the Stables Café from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM. 
• Takeaway Supper Menu: Available for pre-order by 3:00 PM. Meals can be collected by 4:45 PM. Contact us if you’d like a copy of the menu before your arrival.
