Christmas Wreath-Making Workshops | 5th & 12th December
Get into the festive spirit with Liz of Bizzy Lizzies Flowers and create your own beautiful natural Christmas wreath using a selection of fresh and dried seasonal materials. No experience is needed, and you’ll leave with a handcrafted wreath ready to take pride of place on your door.
Christmas Bauble Painting Workshop | 6th December
Enjoy a relaxed morning of festive creativity with decorative artist Sarah O’Dea. Paint and personalise two ceramic Christmas baubles to take home, with plenty of inspiration and guidance along the way. All materials are included and no previous experience is necessary.
The Christmas Family of Waterford | 13th December
Join local historian and author Julian Walton for a fascinating illustrated talk exploring the Christmas family of Waterford and their remarkable connections with the city, Mount Congreve and the wider region. Discover the people, places and stories behind this important part of Waterford’s heritage.

Explore the winter gardens or head into Waterford City to experience Winterval, with two child tickets to the Gingerbread Making Workshop included (adults go free). Back at your cabin, cosy up with hot chocolate and marshmallows for the children, mulled wine for the adults, and mince pies on arrival.

Afternoon Tea
Discover a festive treat this season at Mount Congreve Gardens. Enjoy our Festive Afternoon Tea — served every Saturday and Sunday in November and December, with sittings at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. Expect a beautifully curated selection of savoury bites (think Ballyhack smoked salmon, Feighcullen chicken) alongside festive sweets like mulled‑wine chocolate tart, mince pies and warm orange‑peel scones — all served in the elegant surroundings of the House.
