HOW MUCH DOES IT COST FOR CHILDREN?
Children under 16 enter the gardens for free all year round!
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?
We recommend to dress for all weather conditions, jackets and wellies are ideal for a wet day with any muddy surfaces. Bringing an umbrella is also a great idea.
ARE THERE ANY INDOOR OPTIONS IF THE WEATHER IS POOR?
You can warm up and enjoy a break with a hot drink or snack at the Stables Café, or visit FOXFORD for the perfect gifts to mark your garden visit!
DO YOU HAVE A PLAYGROUND?
Our new eco-friendly playground is a natural haven for children to enjoy nature. It offers all of the ingredients for fun active play for children of all ages and abilities. With basket swings, hammock swings, a climbing tower with an adventure tunnel slide, a balance walk, a seesaw and a boat sitting amongst a sand area and more. Other play features in the new playground also offer opportunities for creative, sensory and imaginative play.

We would highly recommend bringing a stroller or buggy for little legs as the playground is located in the woodlands and can be a long walk for little legs.

ARE THE PATHS WHEELCHAIR AND BUGGY FRIENDLY?
The main pathway through the gardens is wheelchair and buggy friendly, it is however on an incline with loose stone surfaces in many places.
DO YOU HAVE BABY-CHANGING FACILITIES?
Yes, these are located in the Visitor Centre.
ARE THERE ANY OTHER VISITOR ATTRACTIONS NEARBY?
Yes. Waterford Suir Valley Railway is a short 5 minute drive. Waterford Treasures’ museums are located in the Viking Triangle – we recommend the King of the Vikings Virtual Reality Experience – suitable for ages 8+!
