ART IN THE GARDENS EVENT AT MOUNT CONGREVE GARDENS
Join us for a celebration of visual art this June 14th – 15th.
Discover new perspectives and gain a deeper appreciation for the connection between art and nature. Engage in conversations with the artists themselves, learning about their inspiration and techniques. Participate in interactive workshops and demonstrations, allowing you to unleash your creativity and inner artist.
Exhibition opening – ‘Paint Waterford’
June 14th 2025 | 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm
Join us for the opening event of the ‘Paint Waterford’ art exhibition. This exhibition, set in the picturesque Stables Café at Mount Congreve Gardens, brings together artists from across the country responding to the diverse natural beauty and landmarks of County Waterford. Exhibition runs throughout the summer. All welcome to attend.
Exhibition opening – ‘In the Gardens’ with Eamon Colman
June 15th 2025 | 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm
Eamon Colman will present a new body of work in the ‘Peach House’ (Walled Garden). This unique installation of work was inspired by the gardens and produced in the context of Eamon’s yearlong research residency. Please note, to attend this event, a garden entry fee applies. For the best value, we recommend purchasing your ticket online. If you choose to buy online, be sure to select June 15th as your visit date. You can also purchase tickets on the day.

PAINT-OUT WITH GUEST ARTIST DEMOS
June 14th 2025 | 10:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Come to paint and watch artists at work in the gardens in this inclusive Paint-out with Live Demos by leading guest artists, in the idyllic surroundings of the 70 acres of Mount Congreve Gardens.
Guest artists: Dave West – Steve Browning – Róisín Curé – Sebastian Thommen – Nina Rumińska
Participating artists will have the opportunity to show and sell their works on the day in a pop-up ‘Exhibition on Easels’ with prizes.
Who it’s for: Do you have some experience of painting or drawing? Would you like to have the opportunity to create in the grounds of Mount Congreve Gardens, meet other artists, paint alongside experienced guest artists and show the work you create to the visitors of Mount Congreve in a pop-up ‘Exhibition on Easels’? If so, this event is for you!

MASTERCLASSES WITH ARTFORM MENTORS
June 15th 2024 | 10:00 am – 4:30 pm
Part of the 2-day ‘Art in the Gardens’ event, these masterclasses provide artists an opportunity to work in a small group with a leading Irish based artist in the idyllic setting of Mount Congreve Gardens.
Who it’s for: Do you have experience of painting or drawing and are looking to expand your practice or artistic horizons? Do you see yourself benefitting from an intense 1-day workshop with one of the artists listed below? If so, this event is for you!
Masterclass tutors:

Each masterclass will take advantage of the garden setting for the day. This may involve walking through the gardens to identify subject matter, foraging for materials to use or drawing or painting on location.
